A suspected Taleban suicide bomber struck at a checkpoint outside a Pakistan Air Force complex this morning killing at least seven people in the latest in a series of terrorist attacks in the country. A young man in his twenties riding a bicycle blew himself up when he was stopped by security guards at a checkpoint near Pakistan's largest airforce maintenance facility in Kamra, 70 kilometres from the capital Islamabad. More than 15 people were also wounded in the attack, which was the second on the complex within a year. The suicide bomb attack came a day after suspected Islamic militants killed a senior Pakistani army officer and a soldier in an ambush on a military vehicle in a residential district in Islamabad

Coordinated terrorist attacks struck the heart of Mumbai, India’s commercial capital, on Wednesday night, killing dozens in machine-gun and grenade assaults on at least two five-star hotels, the city’s largest train station, a Jewish center, a movie theater and a hospital.
Militants stormed Kabul's most popular luxury hotel Monday, killing at least six people as they hunted down Westerners who cowered in a gym - a coordinated assault that could signal a new era of brazen Taliban attacks. The gunmen threw grenades and fired AK-47s, and one even blew himself up despite heavy security at the Serena Hotel. One American and a Norwegian journalist were among the dead, officials said.
